Main Text

1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information

The information we collect depends on the features/services you actually use, the environment in which you interact with us, and the choices you make, including your privacy settings and the features/services you use. Due to differences in launch countries/regions, system/application versions, and application installation/download conditions on devices, the features/services provided by this application may vary. Therefore, the features/services actually provided by this application, as well as the corresponding personal information processing and permission requests/calls, are subject to the final actual product.

Please note that you are not required to provide personal information to us. However, if the personal information you choose not to provide is necessary for the relevant services provided by this application, we may be unable to provide those services to you or respond to or resolve the issues you encounter. We collect personal information to operate more efficiently and provide you with the best user experience. Below, we set out in detail the types of personal information we may collect, and the reasons and purposes for which we collect and use such personal information.

The channels through which we collect personal information include:

For the avoidance of doubt and to inform you transparently about personal information processing, please note that where the following sections expressly state that relevant personal information is stored only locally, such personal information will be collected and processed only locally on your device terminal, will not be uploaded to our servers, and will not be governed by this Policy.

Please note that if you provide personal information of another person, you must ensure that you have obtained authorization from the relevant personal information subject.

1.1 Personal Information We Obtain Directly from You

1.1.1 Account Registration and Login

You need to log in to Cachup with your Google account to use various features. During account login authentication, we need to collect your Google account name (nickname), account avatar and email address. We will generate a Cachup account for you based on your Google account. You can view it in the User Center in the upper-right corner.

1.1.2 Interest Preference Selection

After you first authorize and enter Cachup, you can view the tracking instances we recommend on the "Updates" page and the "Discover" page. When you are interested in an instance and choose to track it, you need to complete your first login with your Google account so that we can subsequently record your tracking history and related interest preferences. You can tap the "New Track" button at the bottom of the page to enter the onboarding process. During this process, we will ask you questions to quickly understand the topic areas you are interested in, and collect the interest tags you select (such as the fields that Tracks should follow, focus areas, and content you customize and enter), to help you create personalized Tracks and recommend personalized content. You can remove them by tapping "Track avatar -> Settings", or remove AI Tracks on the "Me -> My Tracks" page.

1.1.3 User Center

You can view data generated during your use of Cachup on the "Me" page, including "My Tracks", "Likes", "Saves", "History" and other information. We will collect the above data to show you content updates for "My Tracks", record your preference feedback on content, maintain and statistically display your like history list, maintain your favorite content list, and make it convenient for you to review it under "Me -> Likes".

1.1.4 Personalized Services

When providing you with customized tracking feeds (Home), personalized greetings and "Briefing" content, we provide personalized recommendation services to display and recommend information content that is more relevant to you and more likely to interest you.

Before you log in to your account, we will collect and analyze your device identifier, device information (device model, system version, network status), application usage information (such as application usage duration and frequency), IP address and system region. After you log in to your account, we will additionally collect your usage information and behavior information on Cachup (including browsing and click data, followed Tracks, likes/dislikes, favorites and other interaction history), and interest tags. Through automated analysis and calculation of the above information, we generate your personalized features and profile tags, and use the calculation results to select content from the candidate information pool that users may be more interested in for push delivery. At the same time, we will provide real-time feedback to the recommendation model based on your browsing behavior during your use of this application, continuously adjusting and optimizing recommendation results to better provide users with quality content. You can remove AI Tracks by tapping "Track avatar -> Settings" or "Me -> My Tracks" to adjust the content recommended and displayed to you.

1.1.5 Feedback

Your feedback is very important in helping us improve our products/services. You may proactively submit feedback through "Feedback" in news articles, "Feedback" displayed after long-pressing a card, or the in-app feedback panel "Me -> Feedback". We collect the positive/negative tags you select and your text/image feedback content to improve Cachup's product features and user experience. You can view the records you submitted and their processing progress through "My Feedback".

1.1.6 Benefits and Points Rewards

When you use the benefit code feature, we will generate an exclusive benefit code for your account. This benefit code will be associated with your user ID in our backend system to identify the sharing, use and claiming relationships of the benefit code, and to grant corresponding points rewards to relevant users when the activity rules are met.

After other users register and complete points accumulation actions through your benefit code, we may record the benefit code, the sharer's user ID, the user's user ID, the benefit code usage relationship, usage time, points issuance status and related operation logs. We use this information only to complete benefit claiming, points settlement, activity statistics, risk control, prevention of cheating or abuse, and handling of user inquiries and disputes.

You may choose whether to share your benefit code. The benefit code itself will not directly display your user ID, but it will be associated with your account in our system. After other users use your benefit code, we will establish association records between the sharer and the user to the extent necessary to complete reward issuance and activity management.

1.1.7 Optimizing User Experience and Maintaining Product/Service Security

When you use our services, we collect certain event tracking information so that we can understand the scale of active users of our product, the usage of product features, and formulate corresponding product strategies, optimize our products and services, and provide a smoother and higher-quality user experience. This also helps detect and prevent potential security threats, and safeguard the normal operation of products/services and the security of your personal information. Such event tracking information includes but is not limited to:
